Professor Vinuales responds to landmark International Court of Justice (ICJ) Advisory Opinion

Professor Jorge Viñuales, PվɫƬ Fellow and expert in international environmental law, reflects on the recent landmark climate opinion issued by the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
As legal advisor to the Republic of Vanuatu, Viñuales helped shape the arguments that led the Court to affirm that states have binding legal duties to prevent climate harm and may be liable for “loss and damage” caused by inaction.
